Hope and Patience - January 2, 2013

Today I planted my first bed of asparagus. I love the idea of perennial vegetables....and I am told that I will need to water, weed, feed, and tend the little patch for three years before the first harvest. That is my idea of patience, and as I think about it, hope as well, that 2016 will be a good year for asparagus, and the rest of us.
