Something said to try three dimensional so I've been playing with paper mache, homemade of course, and then applying a silky smooth wet top layer of a commercial clay to my ostrich sized "eggs". What really surprised me was the delicious sensation of wet hands smoothing the curving surface, like oiling a loaf of bread dough or lotioning a baby's bottom. Pure sensual extravagance.

I had no idea that the pleasure of doing this new thing would be reward enough. Then the beginnings of an egg painting started taking shape...
