Modpology - January 20, 2016

We recently went to a live video taping in San Francisco of close readings of two contemporary poems. The audience consisted of about thirty nerds who have been taking Professor Al Filreis' Modern Poetry course online along with thousands of others, and are smitten by the poetry, the prof., the experience. He asked us questions about the poems in his down to earth searching style which he says was developed not in grad school but in therapy. Ah, no wonder we can relate. I continue to be delighted not only with the course and discussions, introductions to new poets, but also by how much it relates to my painting and creative experience. I am tingling with the connections.
