The Internal Struggle - January 12, 2016

The controller always seems to think she knows what is best in spite of frequent evidence to the contrary, and no where else is this more evident than in learning tango. Tonight the teacher pointed out that tango is not a partner dance, that each person is responsible for their own balance, movement, axis, position ... and in the happy moments the third entity of the four legged dancer emerges and the controller of either party can never make this happen. In fact it won't happen in their presence.

And as much as I know that, the letting go is really, really hard as evidenced by the consistent feedback. It makes me think that you might as well save your therapy money and take dance lessons ... when everyone gives you the same feedback, it's time to face the music.
