Listening to Silence - June 29, 2015

Arvo Part's rarely performed Passio brought exquisite suffering rendered in spare tightly clustered harmonies by accomplished vocalists and a minimal number of instrumentalists in a composition punctuated by silences and framed by a long post performance pure stillness that served as ovation by an appreciative audience for this sacred, solemn, sublimely performed work.
