The Big Truth - September 3, 2015

Yes, it just popped up today in the middle of the afternoon and thought I'd better write it down before I lose it. So ordinary, so available, and I got lucky today. Feeling it to the core. Here it is:

Everything is exactly as it is and can be no other way. In other words perfection.

That's it. Not a thing to do about it .... ever. Might as well relax. I am as I am, not a thing I can do to change that. But you might say, "well you could have done something different that would change an outcome."  That's what we always say, but that's not how it works. There are no backsies, ever. Yes, absolutely I can do different things moving forward and maybe, well for sure, with different results since change is the only guarantee and it includes everything from here forward.

This has nothing to do with predestination, or free will. We still have choice, but not to rewind and rerun. I find this incredibly reassuring and feel as if we are living perfection, doing the best we can do, the only thing we could do .... because we did it. Like living in a painting that is painting itself and can't undo, can only add or scrape or rearrange, has ideas of what it would like, but no guarantee, except that it won't last. That's quite a framework we occupy.

Exactly right. Permission to be fully present, enriching each moment so life unfolds and blossoms, flowing into new forms. No energy squandered on what cannot be changed.
