They Did it for Love

Today I read in the NYT about Jay and Lauren, two fine people I would otherwise not have known about. Young, idealistic, seeing goodness around them, they chose to quit comfortable jobs and cycle around the world as portrayed in their blog.

They came to a tragic end on day 369, the reason I now know about them. They embodied the pursuit of life coursing through and leading them, following their legs, their wheels. Appreciating the kind acts bestowed upon them and minimizing the occasional nastiness they rode on and on and on... until they were purposefully mowed down while riding.

I am going to take a walk and be with them and with Nina, who also won't leave me.
