Wise Guy

Listening to this podcast I realize the incredibly rare commodity that is wisdom clear and direct, heavily ensconced in morality. Stephen Jenkinson has that way with me, hearkening back to Canadian roots where it is more acceptable to not simply "trade in comfort" as he states.

I read and listen a lot to current thinkers on our overshoot predicament where it is hard to find comfort though that doesn't keep people from trying. I am more enlivened by those who search for compelling action, taking moral stock, facing into reality than those who yammer intellectually with soothing language. Even calling our predicament the "Climate Crisis" is a gross minimizing of our rapacious situation.

This podcast with Michael Dowd (Post Doom) brings Jenkinson into the global existential conversation one who is clear and true in discussing personal dying. The best that Dowd can do is to provide the platform and get out of the way, to let this moral man make us uncomfortable. Bless him.

Listener beware and be filled with truth. It gets better and better, ending with disturbing clarity.
