Grounded - July 10, 2011

Just spent a five days in Eugene and Portland at the marvelous Oregon Bach Festival - six wonderful concerts. The music and musicianship was of such high quality that I was transported to realms of deep appreciation, peace, and beauty. The Shai Wosner performance of Beethoven’s Appassionata Piano Sonata was very special. He was clearly playing from a very deep place an extraordinary rendition in its passion, focus, clarity of purpose, an expression of deep beauty and truth. Thank you, thank you, thank you for that amazing performance. The audience was swept into his grace and the applause was a true love fest.
