Time to Be Like Water - November 15, 2011
Today
they closed down Liberty Square in NYC to OWS tents, a day after
Oakland did the same, and yet I feel calm and hopeful that the movement
will continue and strengthen. With a push from the pushy mayors in the
pockets of the 1’s, it’s time to recalibrate and become more virtual, tricky, flexible and malleable, like water flowing over, under,
around, and through, freezing, melting, evaporating, raining, snowing,
and being the lifeblood of the planet.
My heart is touched by youthful earnest occupiers, who peacefully, passionately, mostly wisely see the need to continue to stand in the unrest for necessary change in every aspect of our systems both human made and planetary that are headed for collapse.
May they/we be strong, fierce, compassionate, caring, courageous, connected, committed, for goodness sake.
