Natural Creativity - July 31, 2012

On a recent hike on the Lost Coast at Bear Harbor, I enjoyed my first attempt at "nature art" - rearranging natural elements into a different order. As I moved the rocks and sea weed in the hot sun, I found myself sweating and hurting from the process, yet interested in some sort of completion.

It was gratifying on climbing the nearby cliff for a photo to feel that it didn't matter if the scene was viewed by anyone or not, that the time spent engaging with rock, weed, sand, sun, was sufficient.

Kind of like this very low key blogging where I put stuff up and release it to the forces of nature, content solely in the doing of the thing.
