Circumnavigation - January 5, 2014

Once around Woodley Island is all I can claim, a small feat indeed, yet a first for this sculler. And an amazing lesson from college rower, Lissa. She is an awesome teacher and my new stroke is a testament. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about the next generation. Her understated sweet manner belied her skill and wisdom in knowing how much to teach, the most important points, and the right encouragement. It feels like a different sport, easier and swifter .... go figure. And go Lissa!
