Sound Spaces - July 30, 2014

Just back from a week of vocalizing with the most extroverted crowd I've ever been among at the Vox Mundi annual retreat, I am vibrating, acutely aware of not only sounds but also the space between sounds and the impact of so much reverberating on my very being. Seemed like a good time to repair to the studio in blessed solitude to do a portrait of my uke, named Betty Bookulele (she's a baritone).

Besides exploring singing, it's been an opportunity to witness and plumb the depths of my introversion and notice the schlumping that occurs with too much stimulation and groupieness regardless of the beauty and excitement involved.
