One of the many fabulous things about being alive at this time is access to MOOC's of which the current one I'm enjoying is called Modern Poetry taught by a U. Penn. prof and his grad students who do "close readings" of selective poems and in so doing open up poetic vistas and possibility as well as describe context and setting for such art.

It is completely engrossing, enlivening, educational and leaves me grateful for each experience. I feel the poetry seeping into my art work and I find myself in awe of poets whose work is difficult to produce and to appreciate. In that enterprise there must be a huge amount of trust.
