Passing - July 6, 2013

Last night at the Oregon Bach Festival, Maestro Rilling was honored in the ceremonial passing of the baton to the much younger Maestro Halls. Both are extraordinary ... the former an esteemed Bach conductor and the latter, young, eclectic, and energetic. The gift to Helmut Rilling was a new a capella Hallelujah composition by James MacMillan and it was exquisite. I am still vibrating from it, as well as in anticipation of further new and exciting choral music. Gratitude for this musical feast.
