Unadorned Authenticity - July 7, 2013

Midori played Bach solo violin music which was delivered directly from the mysterious source of Bach's genius to the space between cells of this attentive audience member. Nothing was added, nothing impeded. Even her simple unadorned presence and the bare stage gave not a thing to attract attention other than the sublime sound of the player and instrument, a unit of divine delivery. The silence surrounding the performance was electric.
