Layers - March 5, 2014

One of the things that interests me in terms of art making is layering, whether it's materials, shapes, line, or color. And one of the best things about working in beeswax is the translucency that allows layers to be variably visible yet unpredictably so. It also provides opportunity to work both sides of a layer simultaneously, and that is really fun.

This isn't a finished piece but rather is layers lying atop one another. not affixed.
