The phrase is from Ruth Ozeki's book A Tale for the Time Being, and is only one of many, many precious moments and breath taking observations. The appeal must relate to how I felt so connected to characters, events, places, coincidences, all in the context of intimacy with each aspect, yet fundamental not knowing any of it. Brilliant!
