Stargazing - February 29, 2016
Writing this from a cold but amazing bed. Landed in Christchurch, South Island in plummeting temperatures and headed to the Akoroa penninsula to Onuku Farm where they house back packers at an end of the road working sheep farm. I am staying in my first "stargazer" room - see below. If it weren't so cloudy I'd be gazing at the milky way but that can wait for the next one. In the meantime I hiked along the finger of ocean where the smallest dolphins live and the birdsong at evening was a delight. Thank goodness for hot water bottles and piles of fleece blankets.
