Whim, Weather, Wander - March 1, 2016

I am letting my fancy, the weather, and where I feel pulled to determine what to see on the South Island. Motivated by star gazer units, bird song, and fellow backpackers, I see stargazing, birdsong, hiking in my future... and mountains ... and some rain.

Here is footage of the endagered kokako filmed in a conservation area. If you listen over the cicadas, a sweet tune is heard.
