High Flying - August 22, 2017

Enroute to Berlin I had a 12 hour layover in Newark, NJ, so the only reasonable thing to do was to pop into NYC for a hike down the High Line to the new Whitney. The hike was terrific in the morning before the heat and crowds became oppressive, the Whitney was a disappointment compared to new SFMOMA but a little Calder show and some outdoor elements were delightful. Then lunch with a friend at a little restaurant was sweet.
