It's a Wrap - June 6, 2018

Vienna is a city rich beyond imagination in art, music, gold encrusted buildings, museums, wealth, culture and yet we are flagging in our energy to see much of it.

One museum today is all we could muster in the collection of museums of the Museum Quartier with lots of walking then prepping for a travel day tomorrow. We are heading to Leipzig for the reason we came, the Bach Cantata Ring Cycle starting tomorrow evening.

Here's a sculpture from the museum today from a wealthy art collector's treasures. Why are there so many reminders of our president popping up everywhere? It's the defiant pout.

There have been some real gems of shows of collectors who've donated their substantial holdings to museums and they consist of really good work of the masters of the last hundred years, things we've never seen before and it's a lovely thing. Here's a Chagall and Lichtenstein.
