Dreaming Green

Finally the day of the California Native Plant Sale arrived and I was the first one there, ready with my now familiar list of native trees, bushes, and perennials. Two carts of treasures filled the farm car to capacity, and after repotting a few small ones I now have quite a collection waiting for winter rains before installation in the field.

It's wonderful to see the actual plants that go with the names I've been studying, and to dream about the eventual filling out of hedgerows, orchard, and eco gardens.
