Lasagna
On some sort of race against time I am hauling seemingly tons of materials around creating areas of lasagna sheet mulching in preparation for new plantings, and I want them to have as much time as possible for the magic of fungus, bacteria, and insects to do their work.
The entire back yard has been weeded, pruned back, trimmed, and the lawn is disappearing under a five layer lasagna formula of green manure/weeds, thick layer of cardboard, composted manure, arborist wood chips, and ultimately rice straw. All free!
Thank goodness for audio books on Libby as this work is repetitive and tedious, but we are "gettin' 'er done."
