Blooming

Sensitized to flowers after the wildflower extravaganza this weekend, I went for a morning walk in the Arcata Marsh, a frequent occurrence. Did a sudden bloom take place this weekend or were my eyes simply ready to receive them?

And how is it that nature's palette is coordinated, looks like a planned garden, naturally arranged?

A couple stopped me and asked what I thought of the lack of birds and I was sort of dumb struck since I hadn't noticed at all ... didn't think to tell them that it was all I could do to take in the flowers, oh my.
