Grasshopper

My sister Joan, master gardener, shibori sensei, and wise one called me "Grasshopper" one day, meaning beginner.

As I work on the "farm", on new projects, learning about soil, plants, permaculture, fruit trees I feel ever more like a beginner, which is really all I've ever been and I am embracing this avatar as I spend more time out in the grass than in the house anyway.

Out here I am finding new friends too, like the Red Admiral who showed up on the dogwood tree the other day.

So if you see a little grasshopper chirping around the internet and other places, it's just me.
