When the going gets tough it

What a community I live in. Two days ago ticket sales were desultory to our Bayside Community Hall Fundraiser event and we were trying like crazy to sell tickets as 10 chefs and many donors of auction items had given and were ready to go ... then PGE decided to take away our power the day before the event and we carried on.

What a community! People showed up with lanterns, flashlights, and great spirits, and we partied on heartily. It was magnificent! I am incredibly grateful and feel there was nothing I would have rather done on this day than get ready for this lovely community celebration.

It feels like a dry run for what is coming and I'm happy to be here in this lovefest.
