Color Capture - September 30, 2013

It can't be done and that is the point. There isn't an agreed upon color system or theory because of the differing nature of pigment and light and how they interact with eye and brain. Of course color is relative, infinite in gradation of value, hue, and saturation, more like real numbers than whole numbers. How you experience a particular red may be different from how I do which may be very different from how we did yesterday.

There is a universe of joy in interacting with color and yet in everyday life we rarely pause and contemplate the significance of this treasure.
