Porosity - December 24, 2014

Falling asleep and waking up are those bridging times of hypnagogic and hypnpompic states of threshold consciousness that invite me to hang out exploring imagery, sensation of body, and just witnessing what wants to be before or after the busyness of the day where activity often covers the more subtle movements of being. There is a sense of being more porous and open ... to what? Myself, mystery, consciousness, subtle possibilities? It makes me wonder if this is what becomes compelling, richer as the body succumbs and we approach death. Is this related to that liminal stage?
