Mother's Day - May 8, 2016

I just ran across a quote by Donald Winnicott, a psychotherapist and pediatrician who writes on the importance of play, who also said " ... every happy person, is an infinite debt to a woman", not in being born but in being nurtured. I am taking time on this day to feel the gratitude for my mother and the mothers before her, though they were not all happy and not all the time, there is a lineage of nurturing that must have occurred.
