Ordinary Awe - May 21, 2016
It's a rainy day and that is remarkable because it is late May and California. And it is a wide open day following a rough patch with tango ... and so I turned to Emily Dickinson, who does not disappoint. This grey open space is possibility for composing a different sort of day.
Life is but life, and death but death!
Bliss is but bliss, and breath but breath!
And if, indeed, I fail,
At least to know the worst is sweet.
Defeat means nothing but defeat,
No drearier can prevail!
~ Emily Dickinson
