Part of this permaculture business is about food preservation and today there was a workshop where we built our own solar dehydrator - with a lot of help by people who are better with tools. The windows came from the house where they had all recently been replaced.

Since it's looking like a good pear crop this year, I'm excited to try this out and with all the excess sunshine, it seems like a good resources fit.

It feels strange to be loving the sun, weather, gardening, heavy outdoor work, much of it necessitated by or the result of climate crisis yet providing an outlet that fits me to a tee.
