Garden Friend

Had an early start yesterday, in time to catch a busy Argiope aurantia, common yellow garden spider, at work on a graceful dew lit web and realized this is part of the reason I don't feel alone working out there. The place is full of life.

I am working on prepping to plant a native hedgerow along one end of the pasture and contemplating how to restore this grassland from annual grasses to California native perennials and the undertaking is feeling daunting so I'll have to slow down and ask a lot of questions before jumping into that one.

It's a large area to mess with, a big canvas.
