Quiet Grace - September 26, 2012

Less than 24 hours in Tokyo and it already seems like the land of 10,000 kindnesses, where strangers have offered unsolicited assistance as we bumble our way through cultural conundrums. How is it possible in this most densely populated place on the planet to find such quiet and stillness, appreciation of nature in minute ways, politeness and care offered for no reason but kindness? We feel blessed for this experience.

Breakfast was simple and inexpensive at an automated plastic food restaurant with mellow jazz music, understated art, and fresh flowers.
