Village Women - October 19, 2012

We've come across some very gritty elderly villiage women who practice ephemeral art in their homes, beyond cooking, cleaning, sewing, and other practical activities. In this instance they decorate their houses as part of their religious devotion using rice paste on floors and walls as a welcome to the Goddess Lakshmi.

Ever since I photographed this same woman painting her wall two decades ago, it has been my very favorite of my images. Is it possible for me to purchase a copy of your own interpretation of her for my wall? I would be deeply honored - it is excellent!
