Trouble in the Alto Section - October 31, 2013

The honeymoon is over in the singing start up venture, as the conductor moves from "did you get 10% of that?" to "if you don't attend rehearsals and study the material you won't learn it." This is of course true and yet the interesting thing for me is that I am practicing and getting better, just not what she needs. So my dance is to appreciate the learning and not to succumb to the greater expectations. I'll leave that to my more polished and experienced colleagues and will continue to chip away without retreating from the project... at least for now.
