Burrowing In - November 4, 2013
Cooling weather, warm foliage color, and hot wax plate soothe the appetite for wanting anything to be different than it is. There is peace in handwork, energy at the same time as it doesn't have a built in clock, and curiosity at what they will do and find. The flower form below was a real garden plant that I hammered onto rice paper where it left it's pigmented mark, far redder than expected. Then it wanted to be snuggled in with layers of wax and other things. Tucked into a winter's bed, so to speak.
