Into the Dolomites - September 5, 2016

Caroline and I started our Italian dolomites hiking in Alta Badia. Initially it felt like a pilgrimage with Christian iconography leading to a quaint church at some altitude. Quickly it became all about walking one step in front of the other up a long steep scree slope to a saddle between sharp edged mountains then steeply down to a cow and Marmot filled field and welcome Refugio.
