Make Yourself Pure, My Heart - June 30, 2017

Day one of Oregon Bach Festival hits a big one right out of the heart park with St. Matthew Passion. The Bass/Baritone aria, Mache dich, mein Herze, rein, (Make yourself pure, my heart) sung by Tyler Duncan silenced us all as the redemptive finale of an anguished story that never fades in the telling by JS Bach.
