Thomaskirche
... well for at least 27 years Bach lived in Leipzig and served as capelmeister at St. Thomaskirche, so off I went to explore the place and it is a delight. Young folks, artists, and professionals are migrating from Berlin and the place is fresh and alive. It was a pleasure to be in the very churches he played in and to imagine being there for a service.

There was also a contemporary art museum referred to as "the cube", an icy glass structure that applied humor in housing art in a creative space. And that's a stretch given the dark heaviness of the art contained.

Here's the ceiling fresco and some bathroom stall graffiti.
