Going Quiet - May 30, 2018
Enough museums, cobblestones, concerts, I was ready for a nature break and so took myself off to the local forest for a bog walk, board walk through mucky pine forests allegedly, except it's been so hot and dry, it was board walk over dry forest floor.
Some of the differences between this forest and our wonderful redwoods, besides the obvious size and species are some pluses on the Euorope side. Bird song, lots and lots of it in good variation as well. I've been noticing bird song throughout the cities as well and wondering why we don't hear so much.
Also butterflies including small morpho colored ones, nice breezes that can be felt through the trees, light and open, rustling leaf sounds. It was a sensory pleasure for a couple of ours, more on the sound and feel side of perception.
