Tender Gratitude – October 9, 2011

Leaving my dear cousin and aunt in Prince Albert Saskatchewan, en route to the next family gathering for Canadian Thanksgiving, I felt overcome with gratitude for the strength of character and humanity in the people I am reconnecting with, for the colors of the landscape in this place that demands strong character for those who choose to stay.

Connecting with past with full realization that only NEXT is possible, creates big heart opening when contemplating what might have been, while fully appreciating exactly what is. There is juice in feeling the dynamic pull of blood and kin, time and place, past and choice all in the sanctity of quiet personal travel space punctuated by intense visits. I am immersed in this experience, outside of daily commerce and routine, blessed by having the time to surrender to emotional tides and wanderings.
