Got Krupnik? - October 5, 2017

Well, not until now. It's basically fruitcake liqueur. A Polish spiced honey liqueur that is divine, especially made by the local distillery in Courtenay.

It's been a day in the kitchen cooking for Canadian camping Thanksgiving. After slicing my finger while onion chopping first thing this morning, I've become Booboo Baba, while my sister is Messy Baba, though she prefers Yogi Baba, the smart one. We both agree on the Krupnik and think it's close enough to our roots to pass until I discovered the Ukrainian equivalent, Medivka, and a DIY recipe.
