Wheels of Life - October 5, 2017
Joan lives a block from the Puntledge River in Courtenay, B.C. and I love being here in fall when the salmon are running and leaves are turning. So much movement and action, also bear and cougar but fortunately only viewed in signage.
This little movie is good right to the end with aggressive splashing of competing and biting fish. Seagulls gather waiting for carcuses to feed on.
We are going to a local distillery today, Wayward Spirits, that uses local honey in making their product. Though I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker, I am a locavore.
