Rage - November 9, 2016

Is this what it feels like to be Black in America, Muslim in America, gay in America, disabled in America? I feel thousands of years of oppressed women ancestors screaming in my bones and I don't know what to do with this energy.

The ecstatic happiness I felt yesterday at the possibility of breaking the glass ceiling was a surprise in its intensity but what I'm left with is a heart throbbing with anger. The desire to take this energy to action has been calling and calling and can't find a way to express. I am going to sit in this and feel and feel and feel and cry and cry and cry.

Yesterday during the day - hopeful, joyful
