Big Fat Juicy - October 20, 2016
I'm talking about brush strokes that could not be photographed in the Marmottan Monet Museum of late Monet works, my favorites. Abstract ... luscious, juicy globs of paint such that I had to thread my fingers together and keep squeezing lest they grab the camera and start shooting. I've often wondered where the late Monet's live and now I know - a suburb of Paris in a small place.
Afterwards we walked in the Bois de Boulogne and the piece below is a photo from the bois combined with an earlier Van Gogh brush stroke sample though the end result is nothing like it.
