Montmartre Magic - October 19, 2016

Yes, we walked the alleyways of this "village" within the city with a charming Amelie-like young Parisienne who regaled us with stories and delightful gestures that made the cold day brighter. The famous windmill and vineyard are sweet but even better are the alleys, gardens, houses, children, staircases, all tragically topped by the monstrous neo something or other Sacre Couer that brings people streaming up the hill front side and inside, missing the best parts behind. The tiny park in back was peaceful and empty - good for the neighborhood, I guess.

Sunlight below dark sky before big rain dump on the way home.
